It is repugnant to me to have to remind party members of matters that are self-evident. Nevertheless, I am obliged once again to prohibit any personal contact between party members and Jews. I should be able to expect every party member to have the necessary ideological vigour to know the boundary between personal contact with Jews for business or of another unavoidable nature, and between contact that can be prevented.… Although I can fully understand that all decent National Socialists are infuriated by the conduct of the Jews, I have to urgently warn against expressing this revulsion by acts of terror. These may result in creating a situation, which will be welcomed by the Jews, where party members will be in confrontation with the state police that is composed primarily of party members. The political police in such situations cannot but follow the strict orders of the Fuehrer and take all measures for upholding public order, so that the Fuehrer will be able to denounce the Jewish boycott propaganda abroad as a pack of lies. I request to enlighten all members of the party and of party associations again and again regarding present circumstances and regarding the cancerous damage which the Jews inflict on the German State. At the same time one must take harsh action against party members who knowingly continue buying in Jewish stores, maintain personal contacts with Jews or work in Jewish firms while wearing their party badges, thus advertising the Jewish business. They have to be tried by party courts with the goal of expelling them from the party they have disgraced by their vicious offences….
